Golf Holidays in Malaysia
How about a holiday break in Malaysia including a few games of golf? You can take a direct flight from most Australian state capitals to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore and be there in anywhere between 4 and 8 hours depending on where in Australia you are coming from. There are same day connections for the short hops to other points in Malaysia.

Malaysia has a great range of accommodation to suit all budgets and tastes and a wide variety of fantastic food which reflects its cosmopolitan nature. There are about 200 Golf Courses and Resorts located throughout Peninsular Malaysia, the nearby islands of Penang and Langkawi and further afield in Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo.

We can tailor an itinerary to suit your requirements mixing in as much or as little golf as is desired. We can also ensure that those partners and friends who are not such big fans of golf have plenty of alternatives available at the resorts to keep them entertained and contented as well. Many of the golf courses are part of resorts that have accommodation and other facilities including swimming pools, sauna and massage facilities and restaurants as well as other sporting facilities. Some are located close to the bigger cities giving plenty of opportunities for shopping and other city options. And of course it all occurs in a warm tropical climate usually tempered by a sea or mountain breeze in the afternoon and evening.

Golf Resorts of Malaysia
|
Malaysia has some of the best golf courses and resorts in Asia, designed by such golfing greats as Greg Norman, Arnold Palmer and Ross C. Watson to name but a few. This site is dedicated to promoting the very best Malaysia has to offer. I have visited most of the resorts within the last 12 months.
Use the map below to click on the various resorts. A smaller window will pop-up giving you a brief overview of the course. For further information click the link at the bottom of the window to go directly to the resort’s website.

Travelling with Your Golf Clubs
|
One item of golfing equipment up to 15kg in weight is accepted as part of a customer’s free baggage allowance in addition to the normal 20kg checked luggage limit. One item of golfing equipment is defined as one or up to all of a combination of the following:One golf bag containing not more than 14 golf clubs, 12 golf balls and one pair of golf shoes.
Customers wishing to check-in golf clubs have two options:
- Hard shell golf travel containers – no limited liability release required.
- All other golf bags (i.e. soft-sided bags) – limited liability release required.
The limited liability release absolves Malaysia Airlines of responsibility for pre-existing damage to the clubs or damage in the normal course of handling them.
